The INdIGO (INnovative fishing Gear Ocean) project aims to reduce plastic pollution in the oceans by developing biodegradable fishing gear. Within, 10 French and English partners working together to develop innovative fishing gear that is more respectful of marine environment.

INdIGO is also involved in the prevention and management of pollution generated by used fishing gear, Fish & Click program is included in this part.

The 2nd Steering Commitee was held on Wednesday, june 10, 2020, and allowed to establish a progress report on the different points of the project :

• Recycling channels of fishing gear
• Quantification of plastic waste from fisheries
• Citizen science

The whole partnership stays mobilize to progress the project
