For the 30th edition of the Festival of science, Fish & Click animation organized by the association Project Rescue Ocean in conjunction with Ifremer, took place this 9th saturday october on the beaches of the Le Pouldu (Clohars-Carnoët, 29). After a presentation of Fish & Click and the INdIGO project, by the Ifremer project manager, 40 participants starting collecting marine litter. Lost fishing gear was separate of the other litter to facilitate sorting and final counting. At the end of the collection, citizens took their role seriously in registering lost fishing gear in the Fish & Click app. In total, 30 lost fishing gear were reported (nets, fishing lines, lures, traps, ropes, weight...).

The involvement and contribution of citizens in this research program allows a better understanding of the issues related to plastic pollution in the ocean and to discover the solutions implemented to reduce its impacts.
