This Tuesday, September 16, the Maison de la Mer, accompanied by a scientist from the Fish & Click team, led a beach cleanup with a class of first graders from the Marc Chagall school in Pont Scorff (56). During this workshop, which took place at Plage des Kerguelen in Lamor-Plage (56), the students discovered and participated in the Fish & Click program. A good way for them to contribute with scientists to the research on the reduction of plastic pollution at sea.
This outing is part of a series of workshops conducted by the Maison de la Mer with schools, as part of the S eau S Littoral project supported by Lorient Agglomération. The objectives of this project for schools are to acquire knowledge on coastal environments, the local ecosystem, coastal and port activities, to raise awareness of the fragility of these environments and to put into practice eco-citizen gestures.
An assessment of the data collected for Fish & Click by the students will be made.
